ABOUT BLUELEMENT STUDIOS
Bluelement
Studios was a private web design business until it was finally dissolved
in July/August 2006. We were based near
Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire and were web design and e-commerce
specialists, supplying a fair number of companies in our
local area, across the UK, and abroad. We have ceased
trading in our old capacity. This website is being changed
into an online resource for information relating to the web design and
IT industry.
CASE STUDY: INNOVATIVE DESIGN, TUNING & STYLING
We just reviewed Mods4Motors.co.uk, a car modifications website! A review is coming soon. For now, here's a word from them (well, a few!) Styling your car succesfully takes careful attention and a certain pride in your work. Just whacking on a load of stuff in a mish-mash of perspex and vinyl won't work.
Our best tip is to spend a little bit of time thinking about exactly what you want your car to look like, then add stuff gradually as you think of it. Lots of people enjoy styling their car in this "project" manner. Project cars look great
because they've had a bit of thought invested in them! For instance, take a factory standard Mk2 VW Golf GTI. It looks nice, but it's not pimped. The first obvious thing to do would be to look at the wheels. Take off the old ones and replace them with some
nice alloys. Already, it looks a lot better.
You now have something to work with. A really popular thing to do now would be to de-badge the grill. A lot of people do this. You can either do it the easy way buy buying a new
grill which are available on the Mods4Motors site, but alternatively, you can do it yourself, although that's not for everyone. Replace the lights with some xenons or other HID bulbs. Another great thing to do is to replace the rear lights (tail lights) with
lexus-style lights. These look better than the standard ones and are really easy to fit yourself. You can put chrome surrounds around the lights as well if you like. On top of that, there are loads of other things to do.. for example, change the aerial to a cool
bee-sting aerial which looks a lot less tacky than the metal coat-hanger thing that comes as standard! Potentially, there are tons of other things that you could do, like adding an induction kit to make your ride move faster, or keep pimping it up, for example by adding
some under-car neons or even footwell neons (there are tons of mods that you can do to modify the car interior! Car interior modifications are really popular because they are noramlly really easy to add onto your car. You just put them inside, and any wiring that
needs to be done is simple because it's all easily accessible under the dashboard!
Have a look at UK Mods4Motors website if you're looking for parts like these. |
